FOR EMILY,

FIGHTING FOR OUR RIGHTS

IS PERSONAL.

Emily in the News

With 14 days to go, this is a wide open race. The top three fundraisers on the Democratic side have all raised within $150,000 of each other and no other candidate has delivered more than 1 piece of mail or put funds on television or digital. Anyone could win if they had the resources to connect with voters. This is especially important because we can't trust Carl Marlinga to fight for our values or win in November:

  • In 2022, Marlinga lost this seat to Republican extremist John James even as Gretchen Whitmer carried the seat with 56% of the vote. With uncertainty at the top of the ticket, it's critical we flip this seat this November.

  • As Prosecutor, Marlinga implemented a “shall issue” policy for concealed carry permits in Macomb County. As a result, Macomb County issued more than 4,000 permits, half the state total, in just one year. (source)

If we want to win in November and protect our freedoms, likely Democratic primary voters, especially women and voters over 50, need to know in all mediums, including direct mail, digital advertising, OTT/CTV, and linear TV that:

  • For Emily Busch, keeping our families safe and standing up for our rights is personal.

    • Emily Busch is the Democrat who will stand up to right-wing extremist John James.

    • Democrat Emily Busch is a consistent advocate for abortion rights. The mother of an Oxford HS shooting survivor, Emily has worked with state and local leaders to protect our families from gun violence and stand up for fundamental freedoms.

    • With extreme Republicans trying to ban abortion nationwide, Emily will stand up for our families’ rights to make their own personal health care decisions.

  • Carl Marlinga has an anti-abortion record:

    • As a prosecutor, Marlinga tried to stop a 12 year-old girl from having an abortion after she’d been raped by her brother. (source)

    • Marlinga praised right-wing extremist Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas who helped overturn Roe v. Wade. (source)

    • Marlinga even sought the Right to Life endorsement, an organization that wants to ban abortion without exceptions for rape or incest. (source)

    • We can’t trust Carl Marlinga to stand up to extremist John James.
